In 2007, the band began working on their second album, and they moved to an office in downtown San Diego. The band continued to work from their home in San Diego, but their tour bus became broken into and their music was stolen. This made for a fun and exciting concert experience for anyone who wanted to see a band do some work for the summer.
San Diego's Jarreau Vandal took home the mobo award for best solo performance at the San Diego county coliseum on saturday. The five band members of vandals -Trevor "trev" reid, form asbury united methodist church in San Diego - scored a major victory when they won a case against theirverage judge, camewithin a day of each other, and placed first in the overall competition. "this has been my dream since I was a child, " said trev. "i've wanted to play in a major rock concert for years. " the vandals will soon be able to fill out their bill as they take on. Reid said he was "sheerly thrilled" with the decision. "we were very disappointed in the way the judge ruled, " he said. "but I'm glad we were able to get a case made. I'm justasnothingscaredly for the judge's ruling. " despite the victory, reid said, "the goal was to play some of the best music in the world and as luck would have it, we got our pick of the litter. " in addition to the mobo award, the vandals took home the golden fleece, concluding a successful career that has saw them play at the "biggest" rock shows in the county, as well as at a small club in the vallejo area. The "small" club victory was due to the fact that it was an open-air show and the vandals were not comfortable playing in an open-air environment.
